Delivered to the RAF in August 1945, this Spitfire saw no Squadron service. It was converted as the personal aircraft for use by Air Chief Marshall James M Robb (hence the JMR codes). He operated the aircraft in this attractive scheme from 1946 to 1951, when he was AOC Fighter Command, and Commander in Chief of the Air forces in Western Europe. The aircraft was later preserved and flew in this scheme, before being painted in its current 413 Sqn scheme. This texture was originally made by Hammerd for Plane Design as free textures for the original release in FS9.
