Just when you think you have everything running some what better...

You get a message from the Hosting company. Short story they need to move us to a new server. I have been working with them to plan a good date for all concerned. Here is what we have come up with as a schedule.

    1. November 4th 17:00 -5UTC shut off the forums and start backup proceedures. During this time there will be no access to the forums or the Resource Section.
    2. November 5th Continue with Backups and download same until complete.
    3. November 6th 7:00 turn over server to hosting company to move system to new server
    4. November 7th - 8th restore backups and upgrade forum software.

If all goes well we should be back online on November 8th.

To keep you updated Tom Clayton has offered to post updates on AVSIM forums.

    Thank you for your support.

Pylons and gates for CFS3 races
V. 1.00, 2003.09.05
Placeable facilities useful to build race circuits with the CFS3 Mission Builder.
Mathias Pommerien (GroundCrew) pointed me in the right direction to solve the collision boxes problem. Thanks!

-- Description ---------------------------------------------
Pylons and gates support collision and gates can be passed through (of course, they are made for it

.

The 3d models are multires, but for the moment do not have a damaged visual. It will be added in future releases.

The two included missions refer to two historical editions of the Schneider Cup. Gates and pylons are sometimes placed
in the water as these races where open to seaplanes only. These are races with long straight legs and strict turns,
pure engine power and pilot skill in performing the "Desenzano Turn" are the key issues to won the race.

The CFS3 landscape of Venice Lido edition is quite desert, actually it was full of beautiful houses and hotels.
In the Calshot race beware of trees.
Few more historical notes are in the mission briefing.
