Repaint- RAAF "Black Murray" skin for TRA_Meteor_F8
By John P Fortin (Blood_Hawk23)
This is my third repaint of the TRA_Meteor_F8. Enclosed are the textures for the aircraft and alternate textures for the drop tanks, which I have alpha channeled out. I have also included an .cfg file so you can make a separate aircraft or add the text to your current one.
Gloster Meteor F.Mk.8 'Black Murray', S.No. A77-446, 77th Squadron, Royal Australian Air Force.
Serial: A77-446
Pilot: PO Kenneth James Murray
A77-446 WA783 F.8 Delivered 08/01/51
Known as 'Black Murray'. This aircraft held the record for the most number of missions with the United States 5th Air Force who flew Sabres from the other side of the strip at Kimpo. The regular pilot for this aircraft was O22790 Pilot Officer Kenneth James Murray, who flew a squadron record of 333 sorties during the war.
1952. PO Ken Murray and PO Surman were surprised by a MIG which they claimed as "PROBABLY" DESTROYED because of lack of conformation.
On 16 February 1952, this aircraft was hit by ground fire and broke up at low altitude in the Haeju area.
Sold to RH Grant Trading Co 30/04/59 and scrapped.
This download requires the TRA_Meteor_F8 aircraft available here:
