This is a repaint of Bruno Escaravage's Mosquito NF.II as a Mk.XVIII, equiped with 57mm Mollins gun.
Mosquito FB.Mk.XVIII "Tse-tse"
Unit: 248 Sqn, RAF
Serial: QM-D (PZ468)
North Coates, April 1944.
Serial: PZ468
Build Type: FB.XVIII, Merlin 25 engines
I've been obliged to repaint the Mosquitodroptankday file to simulate the "bulge" generated by the gun under the Mossie's nose. This will affect the external colour of all your other mossie's droptank... Sorry. The DP file creates the Mollins gun barrel, and the "gun" section produces the devastating effect of its shells.
Brian Hill also produced a texture for the MK.XVIII carrying the invasion stripes, but indicated as Mk.II NF, representing a Mosquito flown by the 248th Squadron RAF, June 1944. You can find this texture in the library.
As often, my new texture in an adaptation of Brian's original one. He did most of the job and must get proper reward for that.
