This repaint is for the new payware RealAir Spitfire Mk IX for FSX and represents Spitfire Mk IXc MK732 of the Royal Netherlands Air Force memorial flight flying out of Gilze-Rijen. This is the way it looked in 1994 with RAF roundels and invasion stripes for the 50th anniversary of D-Day. During World War II this aircraft flew missions over the Normandy beaches in support of the D-Day invasion and was credited with a quarter kill in the destruction of a Ju-88 on June 6th, 1944. Repaint by Barry Vandenakker based on the great paintkit and textures by RealAir and Sean Moloney.
