This folder contains a repaint for the Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IX by Real Air. It shows Spitfire Spitfire IXc BR143 SZ-S of RAF 316 (Polish) squadron based at RAF Notholt, 1943. This particular aircraft, then registered SZ-Q, was shot down over the North Sea near Belgium on the 17th of June 1943. The pilot, Fl/Lt Stefan Stegam was killed. The squadron had been escorting a force of 23 Blenheims on a raid near Bethune in France, and although the raid was a succes and all of the Blenheims returned to thier base, the escort was attacked by FW-190's.
