This folder contains a repaint for the A2A Wings of Power III P-47D Thunderbolt, representing P-47D-22-RE 42-26267 B4-A "Sweet Sue", the assigned aircraft of Captain Julius 'Jack' Almond, of the 387th FS/ 365th FG. He was one of three pilots of the 387th that tested an electric bomb release, developed by the 387th's chief armorer, Sgt Joseph Piantino. They tested it for three months and found that it not only gave better accuracy, but was also easier to maintain.
