This repaint of the RFND F-8E Crusader represents an F-8J Crusader from US Navy Test and Evaluation Squadron VX-4 based at NAS Point Mugu, California, circa 1975. BuNo150898 began life as an "E" model that was later upgraded to "J" standards. This repaint is based on a photo captioned as taken in 1975 on the ramp at NAS Miramar.
