This is a repaint of the FDGv2 Donationware F4F-4 Wildcat found here:http://www.donationware.net/ F4F-4 black 41-F-1, flown by Lt Cdr Charles Thomas Booth II, VF-41, USS Ranger, early 1942 Charles Booth's F4F-4 wearing the full red and white rudder trim used until May 1942, with full codes in black and outsize national insignia. Unusually the aircraft does not wear the Boar's head insignia of the 'Red Rippers' which was applied beneath the windscreen of many squadron aircraft. Booth commanded VF-41 during Operation Torch, claiming one Dewoitine D.520 of the unit's total tally of 14 kills. Wildcat successes were marred, however, by the destruction of two RAF aircraft - a PRU Spitfire (identified as a black Bf 109) and a Hudson (claimed as a LeO 45). Thanks to the crew at FDGv2 for providing us this great plane!! Please take the time to read the original read me, that I have included.
