This is a repaint of the FDGv2 Donationware F4F-3 Wildcat
F4F-3 white MF-1, flown by Major R E Galer, VMF-224, USMC, Guadalcanal September-October 1942 Robert Galer's F4F-3 is unusually colourful, with its red cowling lip and fuselage stripe. Thirteen flags appear below the cockpit rail, representing Galer's total official USMC tally, although individual unit records show a total of 14 kills. At least one of his aircraft wore the name 'Barbara Jane'on the nose. During September and October 1942, Galer amassed 14 kills and three probables, including seven confirmed victories over the Zero, and this total, achieved only on the F4F, made him the fourth top scoring Wildcat ace. Thanks to the crew at FDGv2 for providing us this great plane!! Please take the time to read the original read me, that I have included.
