Built in Chicago as C-54A-10-DC c/n 10311, USAAF serial 42-72206 in 1944, this aircraft was converted to the second Carvair in 1962. April 1962 it was delivered to Channel Air Bridge (CAB), which became British United Air Ferries (BUAF) in 1963. The aircraft was withdrawn from use in 1967 and finally broken up in 1969.
