hese repaints represent F-86E/CL-23 Sabres of the RHAF. These planes came from the RAF in 1954 and stayed in service until 1965, when they were replaced by F-5As. They were flown by three squadrons, the 341st, 342nd and 343rd. They also were the planes used by the popular "Hellenic Flame" aerobatic team.
The yellow and red tail examples are restored in static condition in the HAF Museum in Tatoi. I happen to taxi past them offen when flying with the Athens Aeroclub.
