Pre-war observation aircraft of Polish Air Force, Still in front line service when the Germans invaded on 1st Sept 1939. There were about sixty of these aircraft in service although painfully obsolete and pitifully under-armed. Despite this the crews preformed their tasks heroically. Many were shot down (including those by their own AA fire) or destroyed on the ground. A mere handful escaped to Romania where they were used by the Romanian Air Force.
