This is a repaint of HerbieG's B-17F Molly. HerbieG created the aircraft and the .mdl file.
Represents 2 Aircraft involved in the 8th AF's first Daylight Raid in Europe, from the 97th BG,
"Peggy-D" and "Yankee Doodle". The Raid, Escorted by RAF Spitfires, took place on August 17th 1942
against the Railway Marshalling Yards at Rouen in Occupied France. 12 B-17's took part, with
another 3 operating as a Diversionary Force, no losses were sustained.
Gen Ira Eaker flew in "Yankee Doodle"on this historic Raid, Col Paul Tibbets, who piloted the "Enola Gay"
to drop the A-Bomb on Hiroshima, flew his first Combat Mission on this Raid, piloting another B17-E "Butcher Shop"
