Repaints for the FDG2 P47D,by Sopwith Chameleon, available here @ the Outhouse in the FDG Section, Representing P47D of 350 th FS, 353 FG, "Soubrette" flown by Lt Col Wayne E Blickenstaff in 1943/4 and "Panther" of 63rd FS, 56th FG,flown by Capt Cameron Hart in 1944,P47D "Big Stud" flown by Lt Col Robert L Baseler, C/O of 325th FG, Lesina, Italy, from April 1944, and ,"Herky" flown by Major Herschel "Herky" Green,C/O 317th FS, 15th AF, Italy March 1944( NOTE: There are some unresolved mapping issues, but I've done my best to make 'em look right) and "Pengie II" , Pilot - Polish ace Cpt.Boleslaw 'Mike'(Killer) Gladych. - P-47D-28-RE (No.44-19718) aircraft named 'Pengie II' (the nick-name of his Canadian WAAF girl friend). Capt Gladych flew for the Polish AF, the French AF, the RAF & USAAF, and scored 8 victories with the RAF, and 10 with the 56th SQN, 4FG USAAF. Having escaped from Poland after the German Invasion in 1939, he enlisted with the French Airforce, after the Fall of France, he made his way to England and joined the RAF, flying with 302 & 303 Sqns. After being rested by the RAF, he met with Francis Gabreski, and managed to arrange a transfer to Zempke's "Wolf Pack" He flew this aircraft on 6 june 1944 (D-Day) destroying one FW.190, and engaging several others in low level combat. Low fuel on his return caused him to bail out, abandoning the Aircraft. For this mission he won the Silver Star. After the War he emigrated to the USA, and Married "Pengie"
