Represents Supermarine Spitfire MK 1a as flown by S/L Henry Cozens, C/O No 19 Sqn, in 1938 (the first unit to receive Spits - the "No 19" on the tail was painted on in Section Colours (Red/Green/Yellow) for the benefit of Press Photographers)
Spitfire 1a (DW-E) , 610 Sqn, Biggin Hill, August 1940, flown by P/O Constantine Pegge ( claimed 8 destroyed,1 probable, and 3 damaged during the Battle of Britain)
Spitfire 1a (AZ-H) 234 Sqn, Middle Wallop flown by P/O Richard Hardy - this aircraft was forced down near Cherbourg on 15th August 1940, and was captured by the Germans, repaired and test flown by the Luftwaffe at Rechlin.
Spitfire MKIIA (PR-Z) 609 Sqn, Biggin Hill, May 1941- presentation Aircraft "THE ENFIELD SPITFIRE" personal mount of Australian Ace John Churchin, (claimed 8 destroyed, 4 shared destroyed, 1 probable, and 1 damaged)
