Hurricane 1a James Nicholson
Texture for Thicko's Excellent Huricane MK1a. Represents Hurricane 1a, P3576, 249 SQN, flown by F/O Nicholson, Fighter Command's only winner of the Victoria Cross. Nicholson was attacking a group of bf 110's, and was in turn attacked, flames entering the Cockpit, as he slid back the Hood, and undid his straps, the 110 came into his Sights. Nicholson re-entered the burning Cockpit, remaining until he had shot his attacker down, before sucessfully bailing out.
