Royal Aircraft Factory S.E.5a by Stuart Green.

I must thank those who unselfishly helped me with this project.

Fred Green for the dp file. Always comes to my rescue!

Peter Harris aka Ggollob who provided invaluable technical help about the aircraft.

AER squadron for help with the airfile. If you like the way it flies then thank them, if you hate it then its my fault, I couldn't resist tinkering.

The sound files are from the double inline set by Mike Hambly. I don't normally include sound files but these were too good to miss.

Regarded as one of the great fighter aircraft of WW1, the SE5a had a reputation for strength and as a stable gun platform. Originally powered by a Hispano Suiza 200 hp 8 cylinder engine, production and quality control issues with this power plant forced a later change to Wolseley Viper engines.

S.E.5a B189 No. 40 Squadron Spring 1918

The model depicted here is a Hispano Suiza powered one. From the factory the S.E.5a came with a headrest for the pilot but these were often removed, as in this model, to give better visibility.

Model is multires and includes usual moving parts and animations.
