Shessi Catalina MkI RAF revision by UncleTgt
This is a collection of modifications to turn Shessi's Catalina mkI into a Catalina as used by the RAF in South East Asia during the first year of the Pacific War. It uses the Catalina_mkI model file.
I've reduced the model shine for camoflage paints (mdl included).
I've made the 2D panel bitmap WIN 7+ safe. I developed more appropriate payload options in the DP file, see the ordnance notes for which weapon packs were used.
A new airfile was developed, & optimised for AI & combat performance. The static CG was raised to ensure reliable on water starts.
The textures supplied are:
FV-W W8417 This 205 sqn aircraft was the first casualty of the Pacific War, shot down by Ki-27 Nates of 1st Sentai, IJNAF several hours before commencement of the the raid on Pearl Harbour, 7th December 1941.
FV-N AJ154 Transferred from Gibraltar to Seletar, Singapore for use by 205 sqn at the end of December 1941, & later lost during the IJNAF attack on Broome Lake, 3rd March 1942.
QL-A AJ155 413 sqn RCAF was transferred from Scotland to Koggala Lake, Ceylon at the end of March 1942. Piloted by Sqn Ldr Birchall, this aircraft was shot down 4th April 1942 having discovered the carriers of the Kido Butai during their advance towards Ceylon.
To install, unzip the download to a temporary location & move/ copy files to the matching folder names inside your chosen CFS 2 install.
