The Sopwith Type 9700 or better know as Sopwith 1½ Strutter because of the long and short pairs of cabane struts forming a "W" when viewed from the front supporting the top wing. The Type 9700 served as a strategic bomber. It was produced by removing the rear cockpit and replacing it with an internal bomb bay. Paint is of a 1½ Strutter that was part of the 3rd Wing, RNAS in Ochey, France, 1917.
