This folder contains a repaint for the Spitfire Mk.IX by FlyingIron, in the colors of Spitfire IX WZ-GJ as flown by Major Garth Jared, the CO of the 309th FS, 31st FG, based in Pomigliano, Italy, January 1944. The two swastikas mark the two German aircraft he shot down on 7 December 1943. Maj. Jared was shot down by flak and killed near Udine on 18 April 1944.
