No permission to download
This is a CFS3 skins package that was originally posted on the Netwings site. They were intended for stock CFS3 and/or CFS3 with Firepower ONLY. Nothing has been modified in any way and it is still in it's original *.zip file. Here is the README for full acknowledgement:

Version 2.1

INTRODUCTION:
This version was designed to correct some problems with the v2.0 flight model. Because this version does not include an entire aircraft package, there are only so many things that can be fixed. However, there is a v3.0 in the works and it will correct several problems with the physical model as well. A few quick notes about v2.1:
- Wheels-up / belly landings are now possible, albeit sometimes tricky (as in real life).
- Takeoffs from unpaved fields are now possible, but also tricky.
- Adjustments to overall flight performance (max speed, turn rate, etc.)
CONDITIONS OF USE:
These files are distributed as freeware. I assume no responsibillity for any damages arising from their use. You may upload these files as a complete package to any site, provided that you include all files and acknowledge credit to the creators. Please do not modify these files without my permission. If you wish to create a "skin" (alternate texture), please contact me for a current texture template. You may not collect any fees for redistributing these files without my express written permission.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
You have a choice. There are two types of installation. Before you make your choice, follow these initial steps to get you going.
1. You must already have downloaded sz_fbattle_ii_20.zip.
2. Please delete all BDP files in your aircraft\sitz_faireybattle_ii\ directory. Don't worry. They automatically regenerate when CFS3 is started.
3. Unzip the archive sz_fbattle_ii_21.zip in your aircraft\sitz_faireybattle_ii\ directory. This will create the following files in this directory:
- Aircraft Installation Fairey Battle II_21.rtf (Which you're reading)
- sz_fbattle_21_standard.zip (Files for the Standard installation)
- sz_fbattle_21_campaign.zip (Files for the Campaign installation)
STANDARD INSTALLATION
Personally, I recommend the Campaign Installation. However, if you just want to buzz around in the Fairey Battle and you don't want to fly it as part of a campaign, then this is the installation for you. Just follow these easy steps.
4. Unzip the archive sz_fbattle_21_standard.zip. This will create the following files (or over-write the existing files):
- sitz_faireybattle_ii.air
- Aircraft.cfg
- sitz_faireybattle_ii.xdp
5. You're done!
CAMPAIGN INSTALLATION
This is my preferred option because it allows you to buzz around in the Fairey Battle AND it lets you use the Fairey Battle as part of Viso's Battle of France Campaign for CFS3 (Visit http://www3.telus.net/murrdaka/ for details). The Campaign installation will help you create an AI (artificial intelligence) version that will spawn during campaign missions. It just involves a couple of more steps.
4. Unzip the archive sz_fbattle_21_campaign.zip. This will create the following files (or over-write the existing files):
- aisitz_faireybattle_ii.air
- sitz_faireybattle_ii.air
- Aircraft.cfg
- aisitz_faireybattle_ii.xdp
- sitz_faireybattle_ii.xdp
5. In the aircraft\sitz_faireybattle_ii directory there is a subdirectory named Model. In this directory you will find the following files:
- sitz_faireybattle_ii.M3D
- sitz_faireybattle_ii_Cockpit0.M3D
- sitz_faireybattle_ii_Cockpit1.M3D
6. Make a copy sitz_faireybattle_ii.M3D in the Model directory. The new copy should be named aisitz_faireybattle_ii.M3D. If you do everything correctly, you should now have the following files in your Model directory.
- aisitz_faireybattle_ii.M3D
- sitz_faireybattle_ii.M3D
- sitz_faireybattle_ii_Cockpit0.M3D
- sitz_faireybattle_ii_Cockpit1.M3D
7. You're done!
FLYING NOTES
- Takeoff: Even if you fly using “Hard” realism with rudder pedals enabled, you’ll find that the Fairey Battle is quite stable, even during takeoffs. For smooth takeoffs, follow these steps:
1. Enable AUTOTRIM (CTRL-A), start engine (E), and set throttle to 80%
2. Release brakes. Set rudder a few notches to the right
3. If aircraft veers left, correct using rudder
4. Ease stick back. Use rudder to correct. Retract gear once airborne and climb gradually.
- Wheels-Up Landings: If your landing gear is damaged, you may need to conduct a "belly landing". For best results, follow these steps:
1. If possible, try to land on a runway or other smooth surface.
2. Retract your landing gear. Extend your flaps. Fly low and slow (100 mph)
3. Keep your wingtips level. Use your rudder and ailerons to keep straight and level.
4. Reduce power to lose altitude. Cut power when you touch down.
