Liore et Olivier LeO-451 v1.0 ============================= The LeO-451 was France's most famous bomber of WWII. Entering service in early 1940, it played a major role during the Battle of France and continued to serve with the Vichy air force. This model reflects the 1940-verion, with 'stair-step' vertical fins. Later versions had rounded vertical fins. The LeO-451 was designed to rectify the disastrous "BCR" program, which was based on Douhet's concept of multi-engine strategic bombers that would perform a variety of roles. Unlike earlier French designs, such as the Amiot 140, Bloch 200, and Farman 222, the LeO-451 was designed as a fast, medium bomber and it was well suited for its intended role. This version is released as AI-only. It does not include complete virtual cockpits and is not meant to be flown. It is intended for use with the Battle of France campaign. To support campaign spawns, it's nationality has been set to "USA". However, alternate AIR files are enclosed to permit limited flyability and alternate XDP files to support upgraded defensive armament. Original model by Stephan Seybolt. External textures by Philippe Gensou. Damage and MOS files by Nigel Dickinson. This is one of several aircraft created for the Battle of France Campaign for CFS3. Please refer to the installation instructions for additonal requirements, notably my French Weapons package and the AvHistory Gun/Weapons pack.
