Potez Po-63.11 ============== Designed in the same vein as the Bf-110 and Fokker G.1, the Po-63 series was France's all-purpose multi-engine aircraft. Variations included heavy fighter (Po-631), light bomber (Po-633), and army-cooperation / reconnaissance (Po-637 and Po-63.11). The Po-63.11 was the most numerous of all Po-63 variants. Over 200 were deployed by May 10, 1940 making it the second most numerous aircraft in France's Armee de l'Air. Unlike most Po-63 models, this version was distinguished by its 'greenhouse' nose, which was occupied by an observer / bombardier. Relatively agile and modern, the Po-63.11 was underpowered, underarmed, and certainly no match for single-engine fighters. Many pilots resorted to hedge-hopping tactics. Losses were high during the Battle of France, partly as airfields were captured. However, production continued following occupation. The Po-63.11 served in the Vichy air force and they were also used by Germany and Rumania. Model by Craig "Viso" Murray. Textures by Nigel Dickinson. This is one of several aircraft created for the Battle of France Campaign for CFS3. Please refer to the installation instructions for additonal requirements, notably my French Weapons package, French Gauges package, the Nationality Expansion Kit, and the AvHistory Gun/Weapons pack.
