• There seems to be an up tick in Political commentary in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site we know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religiours commentary out of the fourms.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politicion will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment amoung members. It is a poison to the community. We apprciate compliance with the rules.

Brewster B-339B Buffalo Vichy Skin by UncleTgt

Thicko_B339B_Vichy_SEP40c.jpg

This is a "what-if" repaint for the Brewster B-339B Buffalo by Thicko for CFS 2.

I made the 2D panel bitmap WIN7+ safe. A new airfile & dp file are provided, & I used Allen's MDLC v2 & Martin Wright's MDLmat to adjust the model shine & glass colour.

The premise is:

There were Belgian B-339B Buffaloes as cargo on the French CV Bearn in June 1940. She had sailed before the French surrender. When the surrender was announced, she sailed for Martinique in the Caribbean. What if she & her escorts had continued to cross the Atlantic instead, & perhaps docking at Dakar in West Africa?

I assumed the Vichy French administration there would have made use of the Buffaloes for air defence. Struggling to acquire the correct ammo for their guns, I have adjusted the DP to use 4 x 7.5mm MG instead.

To install, unzip the download to a temporary location & move/ copy files to the matching folder names inside your chosen CFS 2 install.

Thanks to

Thicko for the original aircraft. So good, even after all these years.
Kelticheart for his prop bitmaps, which were the inspiration for the new propdisk texture.
