This is a repaint of the excellent Lagg-3 35series of Thicko. It is based on a Il-2 Forgotten Battles and Pacific Fighters skin of Vpmedia and adapted for CFS2 .
This aircraft is a LaGG-3 flown by Captain "Crazy Catman" Galchenko. He was the commander of the 2nd Sqn, 145 IAP based at Murmansk on the Northern front. At the age of 29 Galchenko flew in 1939-40 war against Finland without being involved in any aerial combats.
During the Continuation War Galchenko shot down a Luftwaffe Ju-88, midnight sun in the sky.
He started to be favourably impressed by his new aircraft, scoring 8 aerial victories within
the end of September 1941.
