Two aircraft in one download. Spitfire Mk.IA N3180 'KL.B' done in the markings of Pilot Officer Allan Deere's 'Kiwi I' flying with 54 Sqn RAF based at RAF Hornchurch 28 May 1940 when the aircraft was hit by return fire from a Dornier Do.215 and was forced with crash land on a beach between Ostend and Dunkirk.
The Mk IIa is Armagh flown by Flt Lt. Walter Lawson. It shot down a BF109E and damaged another on June 27.Lawson went on to claim 6 destroyed and several damaged in his 16 months with 19 squadron until,
when flying another aircraft, was posted missing on August 28 1941.
