This is a repaint of the Vertigo SPAD VII for FSX/P3D in the livery of Sous Lt. Raoul Lufbery when he flew with Lafayette Escadrille SPA124 in December 1917.
One of America's leading aces, though his victories were gained in the French Air Service and the Lafayette Escadrille, Raoul Lufbery shot down 16 confirmed aircraft and had two unconfirmed and 11 probables before his Nieuport 28 was hit by an observer in a Rumpler and caught fire on May 28, 1918. Lufbery decided on a quicker death than burning and jumped from his flaming plane to his death. His remains lie with the Lafayette Escadrille Memorialdu Parc de Garches.
