Repaint for Virtavia's Boeing B-29 Superfortress for FSX. This repaint depicts Boeing B-29-40-BW serial 42-24579 "Eddie ALLEN" of the 45th Bomb Sqn, 40th Bomb Group, U.S. 20th Air Force. Initially operating from bases in the China-Burma-India theatre, this unit moved in the late autumn of 1944 to Tinian Island in the Marianas group. The aircraft is known to have completed ten transport missions over "the Hump" and at least 23 bombing missions from Tinian. She was so badly damaged over Tokyo on 25 May 1945 that she could never fly again. Her hulk was used for ditching training.
