his is a repaint of the superb RFN Vought F-8E Crusader representing F-8E, Bu. No. 150879, of VF-162 aboard the USS Oriskany in late 1967. On December 14th 1967, while flying this aircraft, Lt. Richard Wyman shot down a Mig-17 with an AIM-9. Subsequently transferred to VF194, it crashed into Hangar 1 at NAS Miramar Dec 22, 1969, killing 14 people and destroying several F-4 Phantoms (Joe Baugher).
