This repaint represents Grumman F9F-5 Panther, BuNo 126039, of VF-122, "Foul Ball", side number 205, aboard USS Oriskany, 1952-53. This aircraft was assigned to squadron X.O., LCdr Thomas Tavernetti, who named it "Foul Ball". VF-122 was originally VF-783, a reserve squadron established in 1948. 783 was called to active duty in 1950. On it's second tour to Korea aboard USS Oriskany (Sept 1952 - May 1953), VF-783 was redesignated as VF-122 in February 1953. Model and Paint kit by Vertigo Studios.
