A repaint for the Warbirdsim P-51B Mustang representing 42-106438 in the colors of the Swiss Air Force. Originally WD-U with the 335th FS/4th FG, it suffered a glycol leak over Germany on 19 July 1944 and its pilot, Lt Curtis Simpson managed to land at Ems, Switzerland wher ehe and his aircraft were interned. The aircraft was dismantled by Swiss air force mechanics and transported to Dubendorf, where its engine was repaired. Repainted in Swiss colours, the Mustang returned to the skies on 1-Aug-44 as J900.
