A re-paint for the Warbirdsim "Little Friends II" package, depicting P-51D-5-NA 44-13345 "Mary Ann", as she appeared under 1/Lt. Charles E. Burtner, who was in escort for a bombing against Rechlin, Germany on the 25th of August, 1944 when his aircraft reportedly had engine trouble, forcing him to land in neutral Sweden. Burtner and his wingman were interned.
Sweden bought this aircraft, entering service in July of '45, becoming their 3rd "J.26" Mustang, 26003, under Flygflottilj F16 (Uppland Air Force Wing, Uppsala, Sweden) and the first of their D models. (and the only one without the Dorsel Fin Fillet)
