This is a repaint only for use with either Warbirdsim's P-51D Mustang "Restored Part 1", "Restored Part 2", or "Mustang Tales" products. This repaint depicts P-51D-20-NA 44-63507, restored in the markings of the 353rd FG "Double Trouble Two". Since 2004, the aircraft has been owned and operated by Jerry Yagen through his "Fighter Factory/Military Aviation Museum" in Virginia. From 1990, until its purchase by Jerry Yagen in 2004, the aircraft had been a common sight in Europe, having been based in Switzerland with Max Vogelsang/Swiss Warbirds. The aircraft was initially purchased by Ray Stutsman in the late 70's and rebuilt, but was soon sold to Donald Davidson in the early 80's, who had the aircraft painted in the markings still seen today. The aircraft was a common sight at air shows in the US and Canada throughout the 80's, when Don was also accompanied by his brother Bill, who is a long-time fellow flight simmer and who requested this repaint be made.
