Bismark13-Peperez Bristol Bombay Mk1 by UncleTgt
This is a revamp of William Dicken's (Bismark13) Bristol Bombay Mk1 for CFS 2. This is a complete aircraft.
The airfile was developed in partnership with Peperez, who also helped me with a new 2D and VC panel. The VC panel no longer gives you a CTD, although you lose the VC cockpit window sills (they were modelled to the same material). The 2D panel is WIN 7 Safe.
The dp was improved by me, & includes kelti exhaust effects & historical payloads.
Weapons used are: Groundcrew Bomb Racks & 50lb bombs, Pstranys 120lb & 250lb bombs from his Hudson weapons pack. I also added a payload of Paratroops (these small paratroops developed from Jim Jacobsens originals & included in my enhancement package for Shessi's revamp of Ted Cook's Whitley MkV). The Bombay was the aircraft used by the SAS on their first (unsuccessful) operation in the Western Desert, November 1941.
The repaints are drawn from scratch, with new panel line & rivet detail.
The aircraft are: 271 Squadron RAF, France, May 1940. In Dark Earth/ Dark Green/ Aluminium camouflage. Used to deliver supplies to the BEF in France, they were soon involved in evacuating personnel back to England.
216 Squadron RAF, Western Desert February 1941. Quickly moved out the Western Desert, part of the early operations involved bombing raids as well as transport flights. In Dark Earth/ Mid Stone/ Med Blue camo.
216 Squadron RAF, Western Desert, November 1941. Used for night ops, this aircraft carried RAF Night undersides. It was also used for Operation Squatter, 16-NOV-41, the SAS first operation behind enemy lines.
1st Australian Air Ambulance, Italy October 1943. Carrying prominent Red Cross markings & Type C insignia, used for CASEVAC missions across the Italian front.
To install, unzip the download to a temporary location & move/ copy files to the matching folder names inside your chosen CFS 2 install.
Thanks to: William Dickens for a great aircraft.
Peperez for help with the airfile, & the creation of new panel configurations that work.
Kelticheart for his exhaust effects, & inspiration for the propeller bitmaps.
This is freeware and subject to the usual conditions.
