This is the Milviz F-86F-30 repainted to represent the 2nd of 3 XFJ-2 Furies ordered by the U.S. Navy. This repaint is of XFJ-2, BuNo 133754, NAS Patuxant River, 1952-3. 754, like the other 2 XFJ-2s, was a "navalized F-86E-10." Things that all 3 XFJ-2s had in common were, navalized cockpit and instrumentation, standard F-86 main landing gear, and no folding wings. 754 and 755 were essentially alike, and both varied from 756 in that they both had arresting gear, catapult launch gear, extended nosed gear strut to increase carrier launch/takeoff angle of attack, and no armament.
