I wake up this morning to see Carenado is having their Christmas sale. However, the one aircraft I am really interested in buying, the 390 Premier 1a is NOT on sale. :banghead::banghead::banghead:

I have been wanting to try this aircraft for some time. From what I have read it isn't worth $40. The systems fidelity just isn't there, like you will find in a Milviz or A2A product. So, I was hoping to pick it up half price. Guess that won't happen this year.
 
Yes, drives me mad too. Sure enough, looking to pick up the Do228 and that isn't on sale either! On reflection I probably have too many Carenados and most of them feel samey but one of these days Milviz will have another sale and my credit card finger will itch for an otter or Corsair. I have been more or less cleared out with recent scenery sales anyhow. Regards, Mark
 
I feel your pain... and a bit relieved that I'll be saving that money for some other simming thing. Had hoped the 690B would be on sale, but now I'm anxiously awaiting something pertaining to the A2A rumors floating about of an imminent release.

I feel exactly the same about the Do 228. Oh well, my money will be spent on products from other developers instead...
 
Note that Simmarket seems to have better sale prices on Carenado right now than Carenado's site or Just Flight.

For instance, I picked up the C337H Skymaster for EUR 9.57 ($11.27) compared to $17.48 at Just Flight or Carenado's site.

Alas, the Tri-Pacer's not on sale...

Darn! :) I should have checked into this thread first !


Anyhow, finally got the 337 and the c185. I was considering back and forth buying the c337 for a long time, because, alas, there's no mil FAC version in the package.

Never was an O-2 in the package but there are a few repaints out there with the door cutouts painted on.

I have a few on my list that will keep until Tuesday for the extra 10% off at PC Aviator. Bummed that the PA-46 Meridian isn't on sale though.

The only sales I bother with these days are ORBX, anything else I need I buy and no longer have a problem with 'Buyers Remorse'.

The key word is need. Let's face it. Very few things we want in flight sim are needs. They are wants, desires, impulses. I use sales to purchase things I wouldn't puchse otherwise.

If a sale only offers last years' products which have mostly sold its majority of units and nothing else, to me it is a remnant sale. If Carenado would have put some of the currently desired products on sale, as mentioned in this thread, I would have bought things I normally do not purchase.

Oh, thanks for mentioning. I'll search for them for sure. There will be a lack of armament and interior details, but at least the ship will have the appearance :)
