Gentlemen,

1.2 will be the last update done by the Solomons ETO Team in ETO. There may be some small individual works done by some of us, but 1.2 is the last major work that will be completed as a team.

As you know several of us will be moving over to work on MAW and hope to bring you that update sometime in 2009. We are in the process of recovering the original source files for the MAW terrain at this moment.
There are only a few of us left working on CFS 3 and we feel our time and efforts will be best spent in MAW at this point. We are very proud of what we accomplished with ETO and feel we did make a difference with our work.

The Dutch team is planning a major update in 2009 that you can look forward to and James is currently in the planning stages for his TOW project.

There possibly could be one more Solomons update if there is enough interest, and the PBY that Ted and Steve Seybolt are working on becomes a reality.

The 1.2 update will be out perhaps a little early in March and we know you will be pleased with the work done by the team. This update contains some beautiful aircraft, new airfields and a host of new missions.

Best Regards,

O-1

for wherever the enhancements end - thanks to all the contributors for all that they have done

Just for the record, the ACC will still be contributing to the ETO :)

CFS3 is still a bl**dy good combat flight sim with lots to offer.

The Luftwaffe airbase project is in work as is replacement of some of the more important UK airfields (which at present have generic layouts) with accurate ones - all requests considered!

On my HD are landmarks to aid navigation - seaside piers, new cliff textures to suit various locations around the coasts, villages, towns etc.
There are also plans and ideas for city target facilities.

Alongside all this is ToW. One thing cfs3 is very good at is depicting the bomber war, it's what it was designed for. (Lots of folks make the mistake of thinking it a dogfighting sim, it's not - read the manual! :)) There will be a bomber offensive install at some point.

So please stick with cfs3, it aint dead.

you mean ASOWDCC ??

Airfield Seaside Objects World Domination Construction Corps :)

Actaually I wanted to be called CAMRA - Campaign for Real Airfields but was beaten to it ;)

Well, Clive...looks like you've been busy!

Screenshots look great. Fully agree with the thought of the bomber campaign. Sure would work for me! Hehe, I'm a bomber puke, anyway!

I'll send you a shot of my latest tinkerings. A what would be called a 'hard target (since it's still standing today), and it's also coastal. Name starts with a K, but want to make sure to make it work, before talking more about it.

Lol, I need a bigger hard drive. Running out of space.

Gentlemen,

This is an incorrect name, since it's the leftover of the W40 team working on their update, which happens to have the focus on The Netherlands in 1940, but will feature new German, French, British and Dutch stuff in it. The amount of Dutchmen in the team is far less then 50%

But since there are still people willing to work on ETO as well they are welcome to contact me or FM for some cooperation

:applause::ernae: Clive; what can I say? I agree with everything + think you and the ACC team are one of the pillars of CFS3 development. My round, or maybe a whole session, this summer in Devon.
