10's of thousands now exempt to vote?!

Tens of thousands were suddenly banned from voting for odd reasons in several states.

The government defends its rights to do this saying that all these people (suddenly) have issues concerning their rights to vote in the federal elections.

Sounds familiar.. I am really getting tired of this. Time to go to Canada or Switzerland.


I heard a news service say 2 weeks ago that the possibility exists that America's present government may be slowly, quietly slipping in a socialist 'structure', stating that the people are not ready to run America, (voting would no longer actually count). Part of this plan would be to own the peoples land, which is presently taking place via mortage companies. Today, I was freaked to read that the US is now thinking of becoming part of the banking system. Whats next? GM is now owned by the government?
 
I do know that there is an investigation into voter registration irregularities in several states. Might that have something to do with it?
 
If going by Social Security data, I wonder how many illegal aliens this affects considering many use illegal SS cards.

They should probably look at a better way of identifying legal voters than using data that can be stolen or sold at a flea market so easily.
 
One reason why 'our' compulsory voting is a good piece of legislation.
That doesn't mean one must actually 'vote', but people must attend a polling station and register, take their official voting forms, go into a booth where one may write anything or nothing.
As long as one places the voting slips in their correct containers everything is done and dusted.
However, if one chooses to not 'vote' then one has no right to moan about the election results ......... you get the 'Government' you deserve.

And this is why I live in North Dakota now. Unlike the other 49 states, ND has no voter registration whatsoever, which makes life much easier for everyone involved.
 
Part of the ACORN voter fraud investigation? Where Mary Poppins, Dick Tracy, Jive Turkey, and the Dallas Cowboys all got registered to vote?
 
I did forget to mention one other point in our system, one only needs to register once, any residential changes etc are just a notification to the Electoral Office.
However, moving interstate requres registration within that state for local elections.

The cat's political affiliations are a no-brainer, 'Democat'.
 
Looks like Chicago style antics from 1960 all over again. Dead people registering to vote, some names entered many times in a row. People who have non-existent SS#'s or no physical addresses. Then those dead and non-existent people actually voted(and will this year). Can we all yell FRAUD!!!

Besides all the other issues going on, now the elections are tainted no matter the outcome. Matters not, this is yet a Tempest in a Teapot compared to what lay ahead.
 
My question is, since there has been fraud (and a LOT of cases too) proven; then why would the election process be allowed to continue without something being done? Even with ONE proven fraudulent vote, doesn't that bring into question the entire process?

Ahhh the system. The one that in Florida, hides boxes and boxes of votes out in back of the voting buildings and thus are never counted. Then the next time, with new electronic voting, 300,000 votes appear instantly in Florida in the middle of the night. Oops.. we didnt cant Ohio (yet still)? um... oops.


I see corruption. I hope we clean out Washington and instigate some extreme measures concerning voting, and whomever it falls upon in cheating, I hope heads fly.

By the people, for the people. Bottom line.

I think a lot of problems that arise in the American voting system are related to the states having control over the voting lists and the voting methods. Here in Canada we have national non-partisan voting system with paper ballots. Voter registration can be done either on your income tax form or walkup to the poll with identification. Another thing we don't do is identify party affiliation when we register to vote. As a result, we have very few problems with fraud or vote suppression. Just my two cents from observing American elections for the last few decades.

Me thinks perhaps Canada might have something in the way Voteing is done there. I do like the way Canada handle Voting.
