Hi Good People,

Ed and I have just released 14 more FREE Vega 5 Repaint as part of the Support Aircraft for the Ford Tri-Motor Project.

For the month of September 2012 we have launched 60 new FREE liveries for the Default Microsoft Vega.

Many of these, and previous liveries, have been created with reference to Real Aircraft liveries from a book - "Revolution in the Sky" - "The Lockheeds of Aviation's Golden Age" by Richard Sanders Allen. And some hard work in digging up detailed research via the web by Ed.

Below is a picture of just one of the 14 liveries that have been added to the site and released today. This one came from a web picture of a model kit, references to the book and some research by Ed to garner the appropriate colours and markings.

Anyway - 14 new liveries now availabe on the www.ford-tri-motor.net web site - Click on the OTHER Aircaft button and select the Vega Page.

While your there - check out the To-Do list down at the bottom of the page to see what we still have in the bucket to be done for your flying pleasure.

Hope you are enjoying the fruits of Ed and my efforts to bring you some historical aircraft liveries and scenery.

Regards and happy simming.:wiggle:

I know you're as timely as clock work, Garry.....but I don't think anyone could become accustomed to this sort of production volume. Not in the hand crafted fine arts we see here. Beyond the pure artistry and creativety, one has to feel most impressed with your work ethic. What numbers, what variety.

All I can say is,"Holy smokes!!"

Thanks so much. These works are the treat!!

Thanks Magoo and Nigel,

The Ford Tri-Motor Project has been building now for a couple of years - Ed started the ball rolling requesting me to do just a few Ford Repaints to fill a void as not many had done much with the Default MS aircraft. Now we have many hundreds of liveries for the Ford, moving past 150 liveries for the Vega, well over 20 different scenery packs built specifically for the project based on Fact, Fiction and Fun and a dedicated web site.

This is indeed a very unique and focused project but I think one that provides the simming community with something that demonstrates that even the old Default MS aircraft can provide some simming fun. Where else would you find airfields inside mountains - a volume of liveries across a broad spectrum of types and tons of historical scenery with many unique and dedicated 3D models.

All exists for FREE and provided to the simming community for their entertainment.

Happy simming to you all.

Thank you very much for the Vega liveries. :ernae:
That book 'Revolution in the Sky' is one of my all-time favorite books. Lots of great stories about the Golden Age of Aviation, and at the end of the book there is a section that details the fate of most if not all the Vegas, Air Expresses, Explorers, Sirius', Altairs and Orions.:salute:
