2 Cartoons With The Best (IMHO) Music

My vote has to go to anything done by Carl Stallings- that would be all the old Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies stuff he did with the Warner Bros. Orchestra... Somewhere I have an album that is a compilation of some of that music...

You mean someone actually put together an album of Warner Bros. music? I always thought that would make for a great Ronco Record advertisment:

[Man walks to up to piano with Warner Bros. music playing in the background]

"Did you know that much of the music in the Looney Tunes cartoons was written by great masters? Ronco Records presents The Best of Looney Tunes..."

[Have names of songs scrolling on the screen...]

I'm not going to argue with Henry Mancini or The Peanuts but I love the songs on Adventure Time. My little cousin got me addicted to it. The stories are very clever. I named my 7-string guitar "Marceline" after Marceline the Vampire Queen.

Yes- The album is called The Carl Stallings Project- I don't remember who compiled it...

You're also right about the masters- somewhere along the line I heard someone say in a documentary that many kids probably got their first introduction to some of the great classical works by watching Looney Tunes shorts...
