2016 is the 100th anniversary of the beginning of the Battle of the Somme. One of the 'approved' celebrations is a commemoration of the Caudron Brothers School of Aviation on the beach (watch out for the tide) at Le Crotoy.

If given the blessing of my cardiologist, I hope to attend. Perhaps there will be more than a bunch of Pipers - even some of those Gallic monstrosities?

Of course there is much more to see and do regarding both World Wars -Abbeville, Vimy, Normandy beaches, but it's nice that there is one which focuses on Historical Aircraft (gotta stay 'on topic' yanno)
