2024 Marketplace question

If I buy an add on on 2020 marketplace today will it also be available to fly in 2024?

I have not yet bought 2024 yet, I will be using 2020 for a while still.

Yes. Right now Marketplace isn't live because the 2020 compatibility needs... er... a little final polishing.

But the plan for 2020 Marketplace content is:

* Your FS2020 content will show up in your content list, and run in compatibility mode. (This has sorta already happened, though they had to dial back some broken content temporarily). The 12/9 update will allow you to choose which 2020 add-ons to enable.

* If a native FS2024 update is made to the add-on, it will be available in Marketplace as a free or paid upgrade, at the discretion of the publisher.

Here's the full update from the FS team, and it has a link to the FAQ in in it:

Some weird stuff has happened with marketplace stuff. My PMGD 737-900 shows up in the aircraft selection but does not work, deader than a doornail. It was apparently placed there without PMDG involvement.

When I loaded my sim this am, I had a message in the sim toolbar that I would have to restart my sim, as the MSFS2020 stuff was being enabled. I did so, and found a FEW 2020 MSMP aircraft in my hanger, but nowhere near all of them. Half the Carenado planes are still hidden in the Cessna C-170 "configure" page. They can be brought up and flown, (I flew the C-337H) and most everything worked. When you choose one, it replaces the C-170 in the list. More of the Reno P-51s showed up, but I have not loaded any of them, yet. My big concern is that I paid for the Premium Deluxe Package, and nothing but the Basic has ever loaded. Each of the upgrade packages are listed as "Disabled." I flew around the San Diego area, where I grew up, and it is a mess. The two houses I grew up in have never had a tree in the yard, they are both almost obscured by trees. The San Diego harbor is inundated with ocean going tugs, some on top of each other, and most of the pleasure boats and piers are underwater. A couple of the AI airliners are on their tops spinning around endlessly. One thing I did notice right away is that I could fly anywhere over the Mission Valley and downtown area without a single stutter, with my settings on ultra. Getting a steady 55-65 fps.

I had to uninstall and reinstall my sim Friday after the update trashed it again, just like it did after the first update. Luckily, no waiting this time. Reinstall took about 10 minutes. I haven't spent enough time IN the sim to see any difference after the updates, but I don't really pay that close attention to it, I just fly around the places I know.
