I'd just like to pass on the word, that Steve (Stevo) Hinton Jr., son of the world-famous air racer, warbird pilot, and restorer, won the World Unlimited Gold Championship race at Reno today, while flying "Strega", the highly modified P-51 Mustang (which he also helps maintain). The speed he reached: an amazing 492+ mph! Earlier this week, he qualified at 486 mph, faster than his father ever reached while competing. Last year he became the youngest pilot ever to race at Reno. I think you can count the few number of pilots on one hand, that have been able to reach that speed while turning the course.

That is awesome, John. Happy for him, but jealous that it wasn't me scorching around those pylons at that speed. What a rush that must be...

What a huge achievement for someone so young. :applause::applause:

He's certainly going places .......... FAST :icon_lol:

Pete.
