SOH-CM-2013
Alright, I need Assistance.

While the nights get longer and the seasons get colder, I've been teaching my self GMax drawing. The techniques are similar to ACAD and Corel, so the learning curve is somewhat intuitive to me.

HOWEVER ~

My poor old brain REFUSES to grasp the intricacies of converting a GMax drawing to anything usable in CFS2...I sent a new image of a Zeppelin Hangar over to a longtime Basement member to see if he could convert it, but I really don't want to impose on him. He has his own personal projects to tend to w/o babysitting Mine !

So - just putting it out there - I can draw 'em like nobody's business
[see the new Mooring Tower I noodled up this afternoon below]; Just don 't have the necessary skills at the moment to get them modified to usable status.

Anyone care to lend a hand with conversions ?

Thanx in advance
SC

cfs2 gmax Gamepack (389.14 Kb)

This program is freeware. This utility allows you to export gmax BGLs into Combat Flight Simulator 2 without overwriting any other plugin you may have. I got the ideal from fs2004 Gamepack. This is a 2002 plugin and is not the plugin that comes with Flight Simulator 2002 Professional Edition. Unzip to tempory folder Install cfs2ASM into Gmax Gamepacks or install GamepackS into Gmax. A Big thankyou to discreet.http://www.microsoft.com/games/flightsimulator/fs2002_downloads_sdk.asp Microsoft.www.microsoft.com rjsprackland@blueyonder.co.uk

CFS2_Library_Maker_V.1.1 (31.88 Kb)

Updates reported bugs in previous version. If you have downloaded CFS2_Library_Maker.exe or have a beta replace it with this version. Previous version not required for update. CFS2 Library Maker is a utility for creating library objects for CFS2. A Step by step process that works on both FSDS V2 and gmax designed objects. Create weapons and infrastructure libraries, randomly generate custom GUID numbers and automatically calculate object SIZE.

i am learning too, but will try to help as i can. Hopefuly others with the skills can jump in.

Silly boy, there has to be a "STOP" to serve as a punctuation mark.:icon_lol:

There are a number of short cut phrases used in morse to render the message shorter but still keep it readable but, "Gstring" isn't one of them.:kilroy:

Beside's I have trouble translating Essex into English someday's, leave alone going bilingual in morse.:icon_lol:

Aye, There's The Rub !

...Silly boy, there has to be a "STOP" to serve as a punctuation mark....

LOL !!!

That's what the " ~ Stop ~ " was for, M8. I figured the Truly Learned would know that a "Stop" was necessary, but the Newly Initiated Would Be Somewhat Confused... Looks like I got my wish in both directions...

Believe me, Collin - I got QUITE the chuckle out of that GString translation Foo-paw... LOLOL !
