3 sound packs uploaded to Flightsim

I just uploaded three sound packs to Flightsim.com

The first is the FSX Grumman Goose sound package, tweaked for FS2004/2002/CFS2 use. I use this sound pack for Bill Lyon's G-22 Goose, Joe Binka's G-44A Radial Widgeon and Brain Gladden's Beechcraft Volpars. This would also be a good sound pack for Milton Shupe's Beech 18s as well. I also included a single engine config file for planes that use one Pratt and Whitney R-985.

The second and third sound packs are based on Peter Dowling's Ranger 4-cylinder engine recordings that he did for CFS3. Peter gave me permission to use the sound files to develop sound packs for Eduardo Fadul's PT-19 and J E Narcizo's PT-26. The PT-19 sound pack reflects the open cockpit structure of the plane with louder landing sounds and harsher wind sounds. The PT-26 sound pack reflects the enclosed structure of the plane.

Excellent OBIO, how did you know I was getting ready to work on a repaint of Eduardo's PT-19? :ernae: Hey. mentioning that, wire me a set of UV maps for Eduardo's PT-19 should you have it, much appreciated, you know that.

Tim,

Is this the same Goose sound pack you posted 12/2 from the FSX file? Or is it a new and better pack?

Caz

Have the wire views, will mail them to you here shortly.

Terry

It's the same one I uploaded here, but since I am working on Brian Gladden's Volpar and Joe Binka's radial Widgeon, I thought I'd get the sound pack uploaded to Flightsim.com.

Thanks very much OBIO.
I am using your Goose sound pack already and loving it.
Be great to see the Volpars and the radial Widgeon get some more sun shine.

The Volpar will not only be the recipient of some new skins, but it has also been given a few minor modeling changes that make a huge difference in the plane. Brian Gladden has sent me the new model file....WOW! Small changes that made HUGE improvements to the look of the plane.

The Widgeon....well, it just got a totally new interior in the last hour....other than the VC panel....still need to do that. What an improvement. So much smoother, brighter and more refined. The control yokes alone were worth the effort to repaint.

I will continue working on the Volpar and Widgeon and will get some stuff uploaded for them "soon." I have 3 new skins done for the Widgeon already....had to leave the outside alone for a bit to address the pilot's office. Now that it is done, I can get back to slinging paint.

The Volpar rebuild came from me actually digging the plane out of mothballs and putting it back in the sim myself. I was never happy with how I made the engine nacelles (Particularly after Milton released his Beech 18) so it eventualy got shoved in the back of the hangar.

Decided to pul lit out a week ago and did some playing around in FSDS with the model. I did a little reshaping of the cowls and throwing some paint on the inside and back walls of the cowlings and she looks a lot better.

Maybe I'll dig out the amphib version and do the same...

Brian

PS: I am also using the Late, Great Herb "Lizardo" Morse's tweaked flight dynamics as well. Makes her fly even better. Maybehaps I should drop a note to Don "Bushpounder" Moser and see if perhaps he can get permission from Herb's widow to host his flight dynamics tweaks somewhere before they all disappear into the ether...

It would be a shame for Herb's tweaks to disappear. I know he wouldn't mind them being hosted and shared among interested simmers as long as his one and only request is honored.
Free to all, but not for profit of ANY kind.
