Back in my earlier life as a musician (drummer), the band I was in at the time had the honor of playing a show together with them (we opened for them).
It was a great outdoor gig the day before the Fourth of July 1995 or '96.
Great bunch of guys.

Got a free beer from them back in the late 70s ... they were the opening number for ZZ Top.

About 6 big boys, and I mean big ... carried 3 galvanized garbage cans out on stage and the lead at the time dug into one and pulled out a cold beverage popped the top and then took a drink.

Mean while the big boys didn't move much from their assigned cans ...

Then out of the blue, the lead stops drinking and says, "Where's my manners? Ya'll thirsty?" At which time the boys started tossin cans into the audience.

I was close enough to get one! One of the best beers I've ever drunk. :ernae:

Way cool story! A bunch of good old boys, for certain. I met them in the early 80s, in Jacksonville, FL.

Nice folks.
