4K UHD Monitor

... anybody got one, tried it with CFS3 and maybe Ankors new shaders? I saw a big monitor 4K UHD marked down the other day and was sorely tempted to try it - was so darn big (this is a monitor not a TV) that it could barely fit under the shelf above my desk.

Bump

:bump:

Surely someone in SOH land has tried this? :wavey:
I tried a search on the forums but query wasn't well framed got dozens of pages of threads on other things like "monitor"

If only I knew what a 4k uhd monitor was David, you may as well be talking Dalek! :)

Lol, there is so much tech geek literature out there and so little time to read it! UHD is ultra high definition. So a 40" UHD monitor has the equivalent number of pixels as 4 full HD (FHD) monitors. I am hoping that one big UHD monitor would do the same job as several monitors stacked side by side. It could be a neater solution. Then I could see the instruments and the main field of view without using the toggle/hat on my joystick.

Inevitably the price will come down, but I've already seen a Philips 40" UHD monitor for around 400 of your quid Clive (still too rich for me). Not a top end in terms of refresh rate so probably not good enough for gaming.

So I'm hoping someone else will have paid the early adopter price and can report back.....
