Outstanding video. Watching those amazing machines reminds me of just how patriotic, courageous, skilled and capable my dad's generation was. Imagine those young men enlisting and then volunteering to learn how to fly and fight in the most advanced aircraft ever created, and all within a few short years. And how about the Allied manufacturing sector who designed tested and produced the weapons that allowed us to secure the world's freedom. My father's generation was truly the "Greatest Generation" and we owe them everything for fighting to save the world from tyranny.

Mike, that is actually a very nice F4U-5 (owned by Jim Smith). I'm perhaps just as impressed by that airport/surrounding scenery as I am the extensive collection that Mr. Smith owns. ; ) Thank you for sharing that photo (would love to see any more you have taken there!).

At this time, I'm not aware of any actions being taken with any of these aircraft to fly them again. Numerous other Corsairs of course exist/are preserved in non-operational form.

Great stuff! And nice memories, remembering Oshkosh last year. I stood near a Corsair when it was firing up and taxiing to the runway. I think I made a video of that.
