600 Flyover

So, I tuned into the last five minutes of the practice broadcast for the 600, and there was a section of P-51Ds flying over the track, and the TV crew said they were practicing for the flyover tomorrow. Then they said that Jack Roush is, today, the largest supplier of spare P-51 parts for the Mustang restoration community. I didn't know that.

Jack Roush is big into aircraft as well as cars. Since sequestration is in effect, military airshows and fly overs have been cancelled for this year. It's nice to see civilians stepping up to the task. As much as I like current military aircraft, I'd be just as thrilled to see vintage aircraft making the fly overs.

I agree too. Did you see the Indy-500 flyover? A B-25 and a "V" or T-6s. That was cool.
